UX Optimization
When I started as the Director of Marketing for AOMA Graduate School in 2015, they had just undergone a new site design, however, this design skipped over much of the previous site’s functionality. This included non-intuitive menus and a lack of call to action or navigational buttons on the site. I wire-framed and oversaw the implementation of new Call to Action buttons. For example, Apply Now, so that applying to the college was 1 click instead of 3. I utilized heat mapping software to determine the best layout based on scrolling and click behavior from users.
In addition, I oversaw the implementation of a revamped Faculty page. The goal was to better highlight the accomplishments of the faculty on one page, while keeping faculty photos and a simple design. I came up with the list of Faculty and a short “teaser” intro with a Read More link to each individual Faculty’s revamped and organized bio page, complete with sections for research projects, publications and awards. This UX overhaul helped keep AOMA at the top of the national rankings for Chinese medicine schools.
AOMA - Southwest Symposium
I oversaw the design process to create a new logo for the AOMA-sponsored Southwest Symposium event - the largest integrative medicine continuing education conference in Central Texas. I acquired design bids, selected a designer, and worked with AOMA stakeholders to select a winning design. We implemented the new design and rebranded the conference for 2017.
AOMA.edu Website Redesign Project
In preparation for a 2018 site redesign, I began soliciting feedback from the entire community including all stakeholders such as faculty, staff, students, patients. I implemented a Survey Monkey survey with feedback questions to get a wide net of responses which will be used to consider when the new site is built.
Our primary goals for AOMA is to recruit students into our programs as well as new patients to our Austin acupuncture clinics.

UX Project Manager
As UX project manager, I created a Plastic Surgery travel page, complete with a step by step guide and catchy graphic that explained the process. This page was able to drive traffic from a nationwide audience, coupled with Google PPC ads. Dr. Caridi was pleased with the outcome and has remained a top plastic surgeon in Austin to this day.
